Every kid is pretty awesome - tell me why your kid (or kids) is pretty awesome, and you may win a free chidlren's photoshoot worth $75! Included in your prize? $25 in print credit as well as a CD of web-formatted images from the session, perfect for sharing on Facebook and email!

So, how do you win?

First ... Go like the Ashley Durham Photography Facebook Fan Page and leave a comment on the wall that you're a new fan (or already one!) entering into the "My Kid Rocks" contest.

Then ... Shoot me an email at AshleyDurhamPhotography@gmail.com with 50-100 words about why your kid(s) rocks, their name(s) and age(s), and a photo of them! Entries can be submitted until July 15th at midnight.

Finally ... Once the entry period has ended, on July 16th I will upload the contest entries to the ADP blog and everyone will vote for the winner! Voting will end July 23rd at midnight.

Fun with Isaac, Jenny & Hailey

Is that green grass I see? And trees? And NO SNOW??? Ahhh! It's the small things, right?

I was so excited to do Jenny, Isaac & Hailey's shoot because in between booking a family shoot and our scheduled time - it turned into an engagement shoot, too!!

Hailey is such a sweet little girl ... she sure loved her goldfish crackers!

Isaac and Jenny are such a fun couple, too. Lots of laughs and love and teasing between the two of them!

And this is one of my favorites from their session.

The C Family | Family Session

Last October, the C family asked me to do their son Steven's senior photos - which was such a blast, Steven is an exceptional young man with a bright future.

And now Mom and Dad are off to Korea, Steven is off to the Air Force Academy and his older brother Allen is returning to college in Nebraska. Very exciting!

Before they left though, they asked me to spend the morning with their whole family - even both sets of grandparents!

The Wonderful P Family

While I was in Iowa for Cody & Trisha's wedding, I got to spend time with the P family. They are some of the warmest and most kind-hearted people I know, with two amazing little boys ~ Jackson and Andrew. They drove me all over the Iowa countryside, and we spent an entire morning together laughing and having a great time.

Savanna + Matt | Maternity

In late April I got to do a maternity/family session with Savanna and Matt, as well as Savanna's son Kayden. We even got to do it outside! YAY!

A Special Gift for Deployed Moms & Dads

Hard to believe, but it's almost Mother's and Father's Day! Crazy, right? It's about to be Easter in a couple of weeks and then BAM! Before you know it, it's going to be "spring" here in Minot for about 17 minutes before it's July (ha ha ha...).

So why am I blogging about Mother's and Father's Day in the beginning of April? Because BAM! I got an idea ... It got me thinking how my husband missed Father's Day a couple of years ago while deployed to Afghanistan, and how nice it would have been for him to get a nice picture of his kids sent to him. So I thought to myself ... I should do that.

So I am! BAM! (Ok, starting to sound like Emeril - the chef who always says BAM!...).

I am going to offer "Super Quick Minis" for FREE {yes... you read that right!} for kids only for deployed moms and dads stationed here at Minot AFB. I am not scheduling a specific day for this, just basically email me and we'll set something up sometime between now and Father's Day in June.

The session will be quick - 10 minutes - and you'll get one digital file to send to your deployed spouse of your kids.

Feel free to bring "WE MISS YOU" / "I LOVE YOU" / "HAPPY MOTHERS/FATHERS DAY!!" signs, bring flags, have your kiddo wear Daddy's/Mommy's ABUs or boots, whatever you'd like! Be creative!!!

The Dickelman | Family

Welcome home, SSgt Dickelman!

Recently, SSgt Dickelman came home from a tour overseas ... and his wife, Kayla, asked me to do some fun family shots ... little did I know just how silly and fun Mikael, Maddy & Mae can be!

Caitlynne's 9th | Birthday

All Caitlynne wanted for her birthday was to get all dazzled up and take some fun pictures ... So I asked Glamorous by Jutone Rene to come over and boy, did we have fun! Caitlynne's mom Twila actually MADE the dress shes' wearing - isn't it super cute??

Lily's 4th | Birthday

Lily came in to the studio to celebrate her 4th birthday, here are a few fun sneaks!

The Howland Family

What a fun and beautiful family! I had the pleasure of working with the Howland family yesterday at Roosevelt Park, making sure we got every single shot the family wanted and even coming up with a few new ones last minute! When I got home, I couldn't wait to take look a look at the special moments we captured and had a hard time narrowing it down to just a couple pictures for their sneak peek.
